WE HAVE 5 DIVISIONS TO CHOOSE FROM FOR AGES 4-16:
TEE BALL (6U)
Tee Ball is an experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals and key to growing a child’s love for the game. The program lasts 10 weeks beginning with a combination of practices and games.
- Practices determined by Coach & Team are held 1 day a week
- Team will play games each Sat during the season. Games last approx 1 hour
- Due to the age of the players, parents are encouraged to stay at the field during practice
- Use a combo of Tee and Coach Pitch
- Players may make Coach or Teammate requests, but not guaranteed.
- Registration Fees include uniform shirt and hat
- Required equipment: USA Baseball Mark Tee Ball Bat (LittleLeague.org/BatInfo), glove, helmet, pants, belt and cleats
MINORS MACHINE PITCH (8U) AND MINORS PLAYER PITCH (10U)
MINORS MACHINE PITCH (8U)
- Teams are determined by all players participating in an evaluation day hosted pre-season. Evaluation is required to be placed on a Minors team regardless of previous Little League tenure or playing experience.
- The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet
- Pre-season, practices are 1-2 times a week
- During the season, practice will be held 1 day and 1-2 games a week
- Required equipment: Bat (LittleLeague.org/BatInfo), glove, helmet, pants, belt and cleats
- Players who are 6 yrs old, but have played at least 1 year in a Little League Tee Ball program are eligible to participate based on a player assessment to ensure their skill aligns with the older players in the division.
MINORS PLAYER PITCH (10U)
- Teams are determined by all players participating in an evaluation day hosted pre-season. Evaluation is required to be placed on a Minors team, regardless of previous MVLL tenure or playing experience.
- The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet
- Umpires will be utilized during games
- Pre-season, practices are 2-3 times a week
- During the season, practice will be held 1 day and 2 games a week
- Required equipment: Bat (LittleLeague.org/BatInfo), glove, helmet, pants, belt and cleats
- Players who are little league age 8 are eligible to participate based on a player assessment to ensure their skill aligns with the older players in the division.
- There will be an 11U (Minors Player Pitch/Majors combo) and 10U All Star team based on player and manager input. The All Star tournament runs from the end of May through June for Districts and into July for the State tournament.
MAJORS DIVISION (12U)
The Majors Division promotes competition to a highest degree. Within this more competitive environment, the emphasis remains on improving baseball skills, building individual self-esteem, promoting team camaraderie and emphasizing fair play. The division is designed to be both the satisfying culmination of some players' Little League careers and to prepare other players for higher levels of play including advancement in Little League Tournament play and readiness to move up to play on the full 90 foot diamond.

JUNIORS (14U)
Juniors Division will play with base paths extended to the regulation 90 feet and the pitching distance is 60 feet 6 inches. Senior league rules apply with additional standards established by an Interleague: leading off and pitching from the stretch are allowed, and the full roster is used in the batting order. Teams will play a mixture of other Scottsdale based Leagues as well as teams in other Little League Districts. Travel to play games in other valley locations may be necessary.

Scottsdale Little League plays at fields at Scottsdale Ranch Park, Copper Ridge Elementary School and Aztec Park.
We also have inter-league play with other District Six leagues, playing at fields throughout Scottsdale and Fountain Hills.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in all levels of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
All parents must volunteer for at least one shift at the Concession Stand during a game.
